The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) was created by the Government of India to facilitate research in school education, develop educational kits, and prepare and publish newsletters, model textbooks, journals, and supplementary material. Books developed and published by NCERT are included in the curriculum of CBSE and several State Boards.
